We are living in unprecedented times.
The climate emergency is officially recognised locally, nationally and internationally. A global pandemic is shaking up the world. The way we live our lives must change so we can protect our planet for future generations, and we have to make these changes now.
The issues and science around climate change (particularly its immediate and local impacts), and the actions we need to take, are complex and not readily understood. Kielder Water & Forest Park has a unique combination of natural and man-made resources, together with skills and competencies in its partner organisations.
These could be used to inform people about the actions that can and are being taken to reverse this change and to inspire them to think or act differently, in order to have a positive impact through their everyday choices.
We want to explore how, through a collective approach, we can creatively communicate and engage with a range of audiences to raise understanding and influence behaviour for the better.
