How can we minimise service reservoir outages while we carry out inspections?

This sprint is taking place at Newcastle Racecourse 11 - 13 July

Once treated, drinking water is stored in Service Reservoirs (SRs), often in the form of below ground concrete tanks.

These tanks are subject to regular inspection and repairs as part of our asset maintenance regime to ensure they meet stringent drinking water quality standards set by the Drinking Water Inspectorate.  Inspections and repairs require the tanks to be removed from service and drained putting pressure on both the remaining water network and the maintenance teams whilst inspections are conducted.

Join the NWG team and our sponsor TCS in this sprint where will take a fresh look at how we might minimise service reservoir outages while we carry out these inspections. What data do we have available that could give us new insight?  What do we need to do to transform our performance? We will explore the barriers, risks and possibilities, looking at best practice across industries in our quest to transform our processes for service reservoir inspection and repair.
