For the first time ever, we are launching a brand new and exciting event – aimed specifically at Year 10 & 11 students. The Young Citizens Work Experience Festival.
When and where, we hear you ask!
This event will run alongside our Innovation Festival at
Newcastle Racecourse and will be held 9th – 11th July.
It’s a three day programme, providing opportunities for young students across the North East region to work on real world problems alongside industry experts. Students will get a chance to share their own insights and input their ideas to shape the future. They will also receive a verified CV statement to kick start their career journey as well as a chance to explore potential career paths within the water sector and other STEM based industries working with our partner and sponsor networks.
But that’s not all . . .
Students will gain valuable core skills training during the programme in areas like teamwork, communication, digital, creative and critical thinking through a series of fun and interactive workshops. They’ll hear bitesize stories from special guests covering all sorts of subjects which will guarantee to inspire and motivate. So what are you waiting for!
